Ah, Winter! We had a sweet Christmas season with our family. 2026 has arrived with a mixed bag of happiness and great concern.

Weatherwise, we’re having a super cold one. One day, it felt like 0 degrees! An ice storm sounded like our roof was about to collapse and we lost power for 26 hours. Our fireplace and generator kept us from freezing, though.

There is beauty in winter and I do love the clean, crisp air and a little snowfall. Hot soups, cocoa and tea warm the tummy and soul.
